Just recently purchased this in 4K, owned it on multiple formats previously, don't understand the bad reputation it gets, it's been a favorite of mine since I was 6 when I first watched it 1987 and still is at 39. A great Sci-fi/fantasy with a lot of heart and a top soundtrack.

The mid eighties was a time of some important movies. Streets of Fire, Brazil, Brother from Another Planet. “Pushing the envelope” and “Edgy” were not things yet.
Only 1 of 2 movies I ever walked out of & requested my money back. The other was M. Night Shyamalan’s The Village. Cringe just thinking about them.

Has to be one of my favourite movie-going experiences ever. Saw it opening weekend with my best friend at the time. We had no idea the extent of bat shit we were getting into, and we laughed and laughed so much. We were in tears.
