—To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air-conditioned environments.

—Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency. Call 911.Officials have said people should avoid being outside this weekend. Here are a list of cooling centers open to the public.6 p.m.;-- Griffith Manor Park, 1551 Flower St., Glendale, open Friday andthrough Monday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.;-- Las Palmas Park, 505 S. Culver City. This AM the predicted high was 105. Currently the temp is 83, but the predicted high is now 94. Don't think it's going to happen. Guess the HP ridge slowed a bit. Still they are predicting 107 here tomorrow - what? If in the AM they can't predict temp within 10 F?

I hope not to survive. Why would I want to live in a community that has treated me like my life has no value since I was a child. California is pathetic. And you cowards make me sick.
