is a freelance journalist and writer, who, after years of on-off scheming, has finally taken the plunge and moved to the South of France. In search of a simpler life, filled with more cheese and less stress, she charts her new chapter in the ‘rose city’ of Toulouse, with husband ‘Mr G’ and baby 'Tibs' in tow. I didn’t want to wake Tibs up, so Mr G stayed with him until Chloe could make it to ours. Luckily, she was getting back to Toulouse the very next morning. I arrived at the hospital just before midnight on 31 August, a sundress over my swollen stomach. As we waited for a taxi to take the three of us home and back to Tibs three days later, everything had changed. My body was lighter, the air crisper, we had a new son and a new home. Our French dream finally realised.
