Microsoft won a $10 billion contract to supply cloud computing services to the U.S. Pentagon, the Defense Department said on Oct. 25. The software company beat lead bidder Amazon.
President Donald Trump said in July that he was seriously considering intervening in the contract, saying “great companies” were complaining about it. Oracle and IBM are among the companies that had criticized the bidding process.
