Tina Smets had long thought about getting a college degree, but that seemed impossible.

“I don’t think I would have considered it otherwise,” Smets said of her planned business administration degree. “I actually didn’t believe it at first.” The University of Nebraska program covers tuition for families earning less than $60,000 a year. The University of Maine is offering in-state pricing for out-of-state students whose colleges have had to shut down.

“Families don’t want to pay tens of thousands of dollars a year just to have their kids stay home all day,” said Mark Kantrowitz, publisher and vice president of research for Savingforcollege.com. Financial aid will also be affected by the crisis. Original offers for the upcoming academic year as calculated using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid are based on financial data from 2018.

Cap tuition and fees colleges and universities can charge, based on the average income of graduates.

Easy. Don't go to the big name schools especially if they're still online only. Stay local and knock out your associates at the community college. Then decide if you want to go to the big name school for your full degree.

Don't go! It's an epic scam.

onsite = extra costs pain Online= not paid empty housing fees pain. In HongKong as long as there is NO internal case & borders tight (1 Testing upon landing & 2 hospital or 14D quarantine) business as usual in universities safe (to play extra safe) mask to mask classes! :)

Universal education systems, because education is a human right not a privilege
