, which offers an appealing mix of both Eastern and Western medicine, earned a cult following among self-care seekers and wellness devotees. But after COVID-19 forced The Well to close up shop, the company—like many others—had to reimagine its mission for a new world.
For cofounders Rebecca Parekh and Sarrah Hallock, this meant broadening the notion of community by eliminating its kind of velvet-rope membership program. As of last month, The Well officially reopened its airy flagship—to all. “We’ve never believed in a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to wellness, and this is now more true than ever,” says Parekh, who also serves as the company’s CEO. This flexible approach has only enhanced The Well’s original ideals.
While the mission has expanded, the space too has undergone its own kind of glow-up over the last year. The palatial 13,000-square-foot wellness center features a newly reimagined restaurant , a rest-and-recovery lounge, where you can sit back and receive various percussion therapies as well as a doctor-formulated IV drip.
The Well’s marquee change, however, is a new partnership with the legendary French skin-care brand Biologique Recherche. In addition to offering best-in-class signatures , the center has unveiled a revolutionary new treatment: the East-Meets-West facial. It’s a match made in wellness heaven: A combination of the hyper-customized protocols and procedures of Biologique Recherche with a unique facial Acupuncture protocol to bring about total wellness, inside and out.
