2020 presidential candidates react with outrage to a bill Alabama lawmakers passed Tuesday that would make it a felony for any doctor to perform an abortion with a punishment of up to 99 years in prison.

The 2020 presidential candidates reacted with outrage on Wednesday to a bill Alabama lawmakers passed Tuesday that would make it a felony for any doctor to perform an abortion with a punishment of up to 99 years in prison."It’s nothing short of an attack on women’s basic human rights and civil rights, and it’s something women in America will have to fight against with everything they’ve got," Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., said on MSNBC on Wednesday.

When I was growing up, people got abortions. Desperate women turned to back alley butchers or even tried the procedure on their own. Some were lucky, but others weren't. They all went through hell. Access to safe, legal abortion is a constitutional RIGHT. Full stop."Make no mistake: right now, in front of our eyes, the Republicans are coming after Roe v. Wade. We won’t stand for this. We will fight back.

Republicans in AL, FL, GA, and OH are ushering in laws that clearly violate Roe v Wade and they should be declared unconstitutional. Roe v Wade is settled law and should not be overturned. This choice should remain between a woman and her doctor.Sen. Kamala Harris HB 314 is not only unconstitutional - it's a radical attack on women across Alabama and America. We won't back down when it comes to fully protecting Roe v. Wade, fighting dangerous efforts to roll back reproductive health care and defending a woman’s right to access an abortion."This bill in Alabama is effectively a ban on abortion. This is wrong. This is unconstitutional."

Appalling news out of #Alabama as lawmakers vote to effectively criminalize abortion. It’s time to stand up and speak out. We must defeat this unconstitutional and shameless attempt to strip women of their right to make health care choices. https://t.co/VgiJ0stS6r"#HB314 will cost Alabama women their lives, and threatens the reproductive rights of women across the country. We must fight back, and our next president must act to enshrine Roe v. Wade into law.

A spate of state abortion bills appearing around the country are intended to overturn Roe v.Wade and intimidate women. Note to courts: American women cannot and will not be intimidated. We will make our own moral choices and our own biological decisions.

Let me guess: the cloaks are from some shit on TV.

😊

If the woman has the baby they make you pay. If the woman aborts it they make you pay for even getting her pregnant in the first place.

Any candidate that doesn't support this bill doesn't deserve to be in politics or to be an American!! GOD BLESS ALABAMA!!

CLOSED FOR REMODELING.

outrage?! to protect the Life of the unborn ? well done!!

Rape is less then 1% incest is even less. If you are black you should be appalled. The black population would be 37% if not for abortion. Think about were they put Plan Parenthood offices. That's the democratic way of Plantation Politics.

look whatever you believe in, what kind of punishment is that were just throwing people in jail these days!! :(

outrageous

People give power to religious politicians, supporting the papal church. If they stop crossing the temples, the (atheists in reality) politicians will automatically cease to impose inhuman laws

That's the shits.Womens rights it's our body not theres. All men can control our rights. Were all equal humens.✌❤

Will the government of Alabama also help rape victimes forced to become mothers to provide for the baby/hold the father accountable? And help the child psychologically when he/she finds out he is a product of rape? How?

God bless Alabama!

Ceausescu did the same(less the 99 years in prison) and where is he now? Remember the Romanian orphanages totally made up of un-wanted children

Did any of the candidates mention that this bill in Alabama is a trigger bill/law. Even if the Governor signs it, it is unenforceable because it violates the 14th Amendment (the Roe v. Wade part of it)?

Where are the good men. Where are the good women. Evil can only succeed if they do nothing Now tell me again how great America is. Tell me why you all went to war And what those evil countries were doing to their women. Come on

so the system is letting rapists go free and making the victim have the baby.....yea....that wont go wrong...

It's a shame that women carry these Monkeys around for 8 to 9 months and this is how they treat us we can't let them get away with this no way.

The fact that premeditated murder being punished by long prison terms is controversial shows how far modern society has fallen morally.

Going back 100 years In time.

Take your damn bathrobe off Susan. Nobody thinks you're making a point.

e depois não sabem pq é que perdem a corrida presidencial...

Yeah, the soulless are outraged, but babies be like:

Do people that perform them in back alleys get the same punishment?

2020 Dems scramble to denounce Alabama abortion billFew issues have united the sprawling Democratic field as much as opposition to the passage of anti-abortion legislation in Alabama. How can the reaction be anything besides it sucks They’re all in favor of killing babies. It’s no great mystery or anything I don't need to read the article...they will continue to spout the lie that abortion is 'healthcare.' Death is not health. Killing is not caring. How a human soul could support the killing of the innocents is beyond me.
