Before this week’s Travelers Championship tees off, the Highland Park product took some time to joke with reporters about Boston’s 18th NBA title victory.
He said he didn’t have his “best stuff” in the competition and struggled with course management due to the nature of the grass. Scheffler considered the event a “great test of golf.”“It challenged us in all the right ways. You had to hit great shots in order to hold the greens. Around the greens you always had some sort of shot because you’re playing out of the short grass,” Scheffler said.
Scheffler will tee off for Round 1 of the Travelers Championship at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. He’s in a grouping with Max Homa to start things off.
