In addition to a $50 gas or grocery gift card, the care packages contain food brands and “What we’re doing is reintroducing hope, passion and empathy but not just in what we’re giving,” he says, “but the fact that it’s coming from people they work with. We hope it brings a little light into their daily routine.”The care-package drive kicked off last week in California, where sbe has its largest workforce of roughly 3,000. Nazarian’s crowdfunding campaign has so far raised more than $110,000.
