What is GameStop’s turnaround plan under chairman Ryan Cohen, the entrepreneur and activist investor idolized by retail investors? The answer to that question — or lack thereof — is the reason former Nintendo of America president and chief operating officer Reggie Fils-Aimé decided to step down from GameStop’s board of directors after roughly a year, he“There has not been an articulated strategy,” Fils-Aimé said of the Grapevine-based video game retailer. “Leadership says we don’t want to articulate our strategy because we don’t want anybody to steal our strategy.

The games industry veteran, who has a successful track record of launching numerous Nintendo products in North American markets, said that the lack of a plan and his exclusion from the strategy planning process were unacceptable to him.GameStop will report its fourth-quarter and full-year financial results Thursday, and the company has yet to reveal any specifics surrounding Cohen’s grand promise to turn the ailing retailer around.
