This article covers a developing story. Continue to check back with us as we will be adding more information as it becomes available. Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The universe of Zack Snyder's Rebel Moon is set to expand rapidly. The science fiction epic comes in the form of a pair of movies, Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire and Part Two: The Scargiver, which are set to be released on Netflix four months apart.

Total Film recently sat down with Zack Snyder ahead of the Rebel Moon - Part One release date. During their conversation, he confirmed that the franchise will expand into a "narrative podcast, comic book, and an animated series." The filmmaker teased that "I do have it mapped all the way" and the fact that all the new material takes place before the timeline of the movies means that "you can start to understand the vastness of the mythology.

I’m the gatekeeper for what’s possible. I’m the only one who knows where the whole story is going, and I do have it mapped all the way. We’re doing a narrative podcast, and an animated comic book, and an animated series. They all take place before the events of the movie. So you can start to understand the vastness of the mythology that we’ve been working on.
