How Democratic, Republican lawmakers plan to tackle CA gun violence in wake of mass shootings

It will come as no surprise to anyone that Democrat and Republican lawmakers have different answers to those questions.

According to longtime Sacramento lobbyist Chris Micheli, Democratic lawmakers have introduced roughly two dozen new bills related to firearms and gun control so far in this legislative session. He expects many more to come."There's some legislation I've supported so far this year that tries to tackle reducing gun violence in multiple different ways," Berman told ABC7 News.

They’re not working

CA political gun laws only reduces newly purchase firearm meanwhile does nothing about illegal and ghost gun or acts of violence with guns. Once Newsom leaves office and the death penalty is restored, we should see a slow change.

How about the repeal of prop 47 and stricter sentencing for those caught with unseeialized firearms used in commission of crimes. Also mental health and education needs to be rehauled in a sense.

CA government hopes there is a kind of creature called law-abiding criminals?

It’s pretty obvious gun laws don’t work. Only keeps guns out of the hands of people who obey the laws.

Of course they don’t work. They only impact responsible gun owners

Easy enought start training kids between the agea 13 - 18 like they do in sweeden!

Werent these shootings all done with handguns? And the reaction was to limit sales on 'assault rifles'? May be some general gun education for normies would be a good start. Funny, the same people who tell me I can't trust police are also telling me I don't need my guns
