'We're making great television for ourselves. And then selling it to the world.' Danna Stern, the head of Israeli TV powerhouse Yes Studios, talks turning 'hyper-local' shows like Fauda into global hits

Well, it's definitely not the money. But we have a lot of things going for us. This place is crazy in a good way and in a bad way. We live interesting lives. We all have stories to tell. Take [creators] Avi Issacharoff and Lior Raz: They were real-life soldiers, that is their story. A lot of what we do is passionate storytelling from someone who takes inspiration from their own lives.

We won't let international schedules run the way we do production. We might spend a little more, like on, because we know it's going to be seen and we don't want to disappoint, but we won't speed things up. And we're not going to cast someone because we think they might have more international appeal. That's not what we are doing here. We're making great television for ourselves. And then selling it to the world.

But on the U.S. version of the show, you are actually casting actors on the spectrum, something you didn't do in the original.

As stigma ebbs, college students seek mental health helpMore college students are turning to their schools for help with anxiety, depression and other mental health problems, and many must wait weeks for treatment or find help elsewhere as campus... A shortage of clinicians in America, especially rural America, cannot be solved without a better solution. It's good to see people coming out to get help. I am sure mental health is a genuine concern among young adults today. But as a 20 year veteran of university-level teaching, I can attest to a dramatic rise in crippling fragility and unjustified entitlement among 18-20 year olds - especially in the last 5 years.

More college students look for mental health help on campusMore college students are turning to their schools for help with anxiety, depression and other mental health problems, and many must wait weeks for treatment or find help elsewhere as campus... Blame their professors for silencing their opinions! This is what happens when parents raise their kids in a bubble, where they never have to learn to deal with adversity. It only gets worse for them when they leave school and find out the real world isn't going to bend to their 'feelings'. KaitlynMKE I mean, these kids have active shooter drills, they literally are taught to be on guard to any loud noise. Mental health issues are just the beginning. I wouldn’t be surprised if they also are turning gray by 20, and have IBS by 25.
