Credit card companies and banks are not in the business of being law-enforcement or investigators, they should not be sharing anyone’s information with anyone unless there is a subpoena or search warrant. Huge violation of the fourth amendment.

So does a person who shoots a lot competitively or whatever get flagged because they buy a lot of ammo? A mass shooter could conceivably buy a box or two of ammo and do a lot of damage whereas a person who just goes to the range a lot buys way more. I don’t get how this helps
