Located an easy hour’s drive from Florence and in the village of Forcoli is the heart and soul of, the fourth-generation family company and truffle empire led by Luciano and Cristiano Savini.
Luciano Savini took over the operation from his father, Zelindo, and has since created a destination for truffle enthusiasts worldwide. Zelindo quickly discovered that his passion for hiking through the woods eventually led him to discover the world of truffles.In the 1920's Giuseppe Savini was a small-town farmer who would often go truffle hunting with his dog. He was the father of four children, including Zelindo, who eventually became a worker at the Villa Saletta estate near Palaia.
Cristiano Savini followed his grandfather Zelindo's education on how to forage truffles. Learning from his father Luciano's business sense and love for the product, he continues the family business with his sister Romina under the watchful eyes of his father, Luciano, and his mother, Carla.
