As scientists search for a drug to treat coronavirus, ER doctors are employing a simple, low-risk technique they say is preventing prevent serious infection.

But overall, he hopes it is something that emergency rooms continue to adopt nationwide. “It’s not a panacea, it’s not a cure-all,” he says. “But it’s a way to buy time for some patients, and other patients, it’s a way to prevent intubation — cause we know this: If you get intubated, your odds of having a poor outcome in terms of mortality is around 50 percent.

If it's that successful it needs more than a Yahoo article to get implementation on a larger scale. I told an ER nurse friend about the article & the response was 'We intubate them as soon as they get here.'

I know of 2 Virus victims who are have this prone procedure as part of their rehab. It works!
