Suzn Stewart shops for gifts for her 2-week old niece and husband Friday, Dec. 23, 2022, at Kuhl-Linscomb in Houston. Stewart said the cold weather “makes it feel more Christmasy.”Emily Pollak packed into the car with her boyfriend, parents and brother to do what she called “panic shopping.”
That’s when Pollak made her move. She quickly snatched up the boots, purchased them and put them in the trunk of the car before he could notice. She was also shopping for one of her friends, for whom she wasn’t sure what to get. Then inspiration struck -- she saw a book titled “Translating Tinder: An A-Z guide on Misogyny.”Pam Kuhl-Linscomb, who co-owns the store with her husband, was glad to see shoppers like Pollak and her family brave the freeze to finish their holiday shopping.
“I think this Christmas Eve, weather permitting, we’ll be busier than usual,” Kuhl-Linscomb said. “And that’s because it’s a Saturday. People will feel like they won’t have anything else to do but get ready for Christmas.”
Jesus Christ is the reason for the Christmas Season.
