Mark Finley, Fellow in Energy and Global Oil, Baker Institute for Public Policy at Rice UniversityPoliticians of either party like to blame the current president for any uncomfortable increases in how much we pay for gas.

“During the pandemic, OPEC and a group of cooperating countries and Russia, engaged in the biggest voluntary national production cuts the world has ever seen,” he said. “And they’ve been very cautious in slowly dishing that oil back into the marketplace.” “By itself, the price of gasoline has accounted for 20% of all of the consumer price inflation in the U.S. in the last year and we have to ask ourselves, where does that burden fall? The data shows that it falls most heavily on low-income families.” he added.

Jeff Bezos slammed over Biden inflation tweet: 'Buyer's remorse'Jeff Bezos shared his tweet as Americans face crippling gas prices at the pumps. One my favorite things about Twitter is seeing the MSM posting on Twitter about a Twitter post people on Twitter saw 8 hours ago. Bezos goes to a bar with an Amazon mgr & a delivery driver. They order a ten slice 🍕 pizza. The driver agrees to pay with his labor. Bezos quickly gobbles up 9 slices, turns to the mgr and says, “Careful of that driver, he wants all the pizza…”. Edward Snowden weighed in with the buyer’s remorse comment? I care less about him than Bezos. Are sales down at Amazon or something?

Seems to be working? Prices have dropped a little, but certainly not enough to save his poll numbers. Can't wait for day 3 of the recession. U should run a daily recession ticker.
