Over $25,000 are available through the board that will be distributed to local nonprofits that use the funds in their daily programs.

DOTHAN, Ala. - Houston County has received FEMA funds from the national board for an emergency food and shelter program.

This action comes a few months after nonprofits responded to Cottonwood after disaster struck, leaving residents without shelter and food. ”It is incredible and totally essential for these organizations that receive these funds,” said Josie Shepard, the local board chair for this funding.
