House Republicans pass bill to protest President Biden’s delay of Israel bomb shipment

C. - The Republican-led U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday approved largely symbolic legislation that would block federal money from being used to withhold or reverse the delivery of defense support for Israel .It is unlikely to come up for a vote in the Democrat-controlled U.S. Senate.

Sullivan said the United States has already sent “a massive amount of military assistance to Israel to defend itself against all threats, including Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran and its other proxies, We are continuing to send military assistance, and we will ensure that Israel receives the full amount provided in the supplemental.”Bipartisan effort: Ohio’s U.S.

Florida’s Debbie Wasserman Schultz delivered a House of Representatives floor speech accusing Republicans of using the bill to score “cheap political points,” and to distract from the fact that they blocked vital aid to Israel for six months.”
