President Claire Underwood takes charge in 'House of Cards'LOS ANGELES (AP) — The spirit of Francis Underwood and misdeeds past haunt the sixth season of 'House of Cards' and its new U.S. president, the widowed Claire Underwood. Francis is very much dead when the Netflix series opens its final, eight-episode run Friday, as an image of Claire bending tenderly over his coffin makes clear. But there's no suggestion from the producers or cast that killing off Francis — after the Me Too-triggered firing of star Kevin Spacey — took a storytelling toll on Netflix's political satire. It's following the path of Claire's rise signaled at the end of season five, this despite the upheaval that halted production a year ago when Spacey was accused of sexual misconduct. Having watched the BBC original, it was always hard to stick with the new HoC over it's seasons. Without Spacey, there's no point in watching anymore. Not my President! FU I have real life shit to worry about.

Review | What’s left to say about the end of ‘House of Cards,’ besides good riddance?Netflix’s overwrought drama about political scheming got left behind in an era of political chaos. To be honest, this sucks without underwood. Wow, what a hateful and negative article. Clearly not a fan of the show. And yet the countries that have created this mess are all white, and while blocking their borders to keep from survivors trying to survive!
