House Judiciary leaders press for answers in Epstein death

The leaders of the House Judiciary Committee wrote to the Federal Bureau of Prisons on Monday, pushing for answers in the weekend death of financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was being held in a New York jail on sex trafficking charges.a list of nearly two dozen questions

to Hugh Hurwitz, the bureau’s acting director. They pressed for answers on the bureau’s suicide prevention program, conditions of the jail cell and Epstein’s confinement, and asked for the names of those who were charged with monitoring Epstein.

Epstein was found dead in his cell early Saturday. He had been placed on suicide watch on July 23 after an apparent attempt, but was taken off less than a week later for unknown reasons. In their letter, Nadler and Collins said on Monday said they agreed with Attorney General William Barr, who said over the weekend that he was “appalled” by Epstein’s death, which he said “raises serious questions that must be answered.”

Are answers even going to be obtained? :(. I sure hope so, but am prepared for a let down. EVERYONE involved needs to be determined- I don’t care what political affiliation!

Epstien should have been locked up in a proper federal prison, considering his interstate and international criminal activity. Corrupt liberal NY was extremely unsafe place for him since it voted 90% for Clinton.

I recall a case where a person committed suicide in his cell with his hands tied behind his back. Another guy shot himself 27 times, then he figured out how to shoot himself in the head with his left hand even though he was right handed. I could go on, but I ain’t crazy.

They should hold a hearing. Something stinks to high heaven no matter which side of the aisle you look at it from.

How did that non guard, get guard duty? In a high profile case, none the less. For a prisoner who needed surveiled.

Why? Epstein killed himself. He attemped weeks earlier. Let Barr look into the matter, if is so appalled which I seriously doubt. He doesnt want to really implicate Trump.

How stupid is a country that allows their leaders to run the Justice Department. America is overrun with apathy. The animals run the zoo.

Do they worry about every death that occurs in prison or just ones they can push soundbites on to seek political attention. SMH TheDemocrats
