A federal appeals court ruled that House Democrats can sue to enforce a congressional subpoena demanding testimony from former White House counsel Don McGahn.

ABC News Daily: August 6, 2020Catch up on the developing stories making headlines.A federal appeals court ruled Friday that House Democrats can sue to enforce a congressional subpoena demanding testimony from former White House counsel Don McGahn.

McGahn was a central figure in several key episodes singled out by former special counsel Robert Mueller that Democrats argued amounted to attempted obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump in the Russia investigation. While Democrats eventually opted not to incorporate allegations from the Mueller investigation into their impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump that ended in his acquittal early this year, lawyers for the Judiciary Committee have continued pressing for enforcement of their subpoena against McGahn -- arguing his testimony still remained relevant to their oversight duties.

& the meaningless trivial pursuit that typifies the House Dems continues. Can’t do a damn thing to benefit the country, but they’ll play political games til the cows - or in their case jackasses - come home.

slothsintrees How about a $10,000 a day fine for everyday he doesn't show up?

Good let’s find the truth. I’m really excited for Hillary’s court date about her emails next month also! It would also be nice if Bill gets to court over the testimony against him in the Epstein trial!

And this is why The House will swing back to Republicans in November. Democrats have squandered these 2 years, with endless investigations that lead nowhere.

Allowing a federal appeals court to rule on a case regarding such a flagrant violation of our Constitution is like allowing my kids to pass judgment on their parents.

Appeals Court Revives House Democrats’ Lawsuit Seeking Testimony of Former Trump White House CounselA federal appeals court on Friday revived a bid by House Democrats to require former White House counsel Don McGahn to testify in an investigation of President Trump. Just stop already! So sick and tired of wasting tax payer money on witch hunts! After he testifies lock him up. This seems prudent with everything that is going on in 2020. Doesn't smell political at all. 🤔

Don Henley Sues Both Presidential Campaigns For Not Using ‘Boys Of Summer’DALLAS—Expressing frustration that neither presidential candidate had requested consent to use his smash solo hit from 1984, Eagles vocalist Don Henley filed suit Wednesday against both Donald Trump and Joe Biden’s campaigns for not playing “The Boys Of Summer” at their events. “Fans tipped us off to the fact that Biden and Trump weren’t using ‘Boys Of Summer’ for any of their in-person or virtual campaign appearances, and we felt we had no choice but to take legal action,” said Henley, whose lawyers filed a civil complaint against the campaigns detailing how the classic-rock radio mainstay would make a perfect complement to the message of either candidate. “We find it unacceptable that it hasn’t been played even once at a 2020 rally, especially during the summertime. The part that goes ‘Nobody on the road / Nobody on the beach’ truly speaks to this moment in American life. How dare you not use this song, ‘All She Wants To Do Is Dance,’ or any of the other Top 40 singles from my triple-platinum Building The Perfect Beast album? You have no right. No right at all.” At press time, the Trump campaign had reportedly agreed to use “Boys Of Summer” on the condition that Henley edit out the lyric “But I can see you / Your brown skin shining in the sun.” Hahahahaha 😂😂😂 😂 😆 I detest that song. I adored him, could do no wrong kinda stuff, until that song
