IMHO There's a subtle but dangerous backlash against Israel, +/or Jewish people from conflating BDS + criticism of Israel (BDS, occupation) with anti-semitism. It tells people in Arab countries and others: if you want to criticize Israel you must hate all Jews as well. PEACE NOW

Israel has an out sized impact on our politics and elections. Sheldon Adelson has made immense contributions to Presidential Campaigns for Israel support. Not supporting Israel does not make one antisemitic. They are a foreign power not necessarily friendly.

I’m Jewish and have criticized both Israel and AIPAC. That is different than being antisemitic. These 2 Jewish leaders are acting like their GOP members who won’t criticize trump. I do not find her tweets offensive. The person whose tweets ARE offensive is sitting in the WH!

There is a difference between criticizing Israel, and Zionism, and being anti Semitic. If they continue to attack any criticism of the state and its policies as being attacks on Jewish people they will only weaken their arguments against both.
