Detainees in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement face inadequate medical care and challenges in accessing legal services, according to a report released by the Democratic-led House Homeland Security Committee

The report, which is the result of a yearlong committee investigation, highlights shortcomings in the care of detainees and the oversight process amid allegations of medical neglect. "Our investigation has made abundantly clear that ICE must establish better processes to identify and correct deficiencies at its detention centers that don't meet ICE's own standards of care," House Homeland Security Chairman Bennie Thompson of Mississippi said in a statement.

"The Committee encountered several staff working at detention facilities that diminished the seriousness of suicide attempts as well as evidence of detainee medical issues going untreated," it reads. One of the frequent complaints heard by staff from detainees was difficulty obtaining information about their immigration cases and accessing legal services. Another common concern shared by detainees was the misuse of"segregation," otherwise known as solitary.

O'Biden cages

Stay the fuck home. Problem solved.

BETTER CARE AT HOME stay there

'Democratic led'... gee, what a shocker 😮

This is a dereliction of their duties publishing a report with unconfirmed theories? Really with less than 50 days to the election? A partisan hack job... they really are grasping at straws throwing spaghetti at the wall hoping something will stick. They think we're idiots.

I guess they need to be deported faster

Deport them

Nothing new, Trump's admin has been doing it since day one, now what? reports over reports without any action means nothing.

With Trump in charge of ICE, would you expect humane treatment? Answer: NO!

Can you imagine in the Dems didn’t even have the majority in Congress. 🤦🏾‍♂️ 😷

Deport them back to from where they came and let them take care of it

Democrats have encouraged rioters & looters who have burned our towns & cities - now Dems are threatening to burn down the Constitution if Senate Republicans nominate/confirm a conservative Justice. Voters take note. These people should not have power

Go home.

Which I trust to be truthful about as much an article from the Atlantic. Meaning zero.

Yes, yes we know Trump bad. Illegal entry to the country good. Poor people who broke the law shouldn't be in jail.

Sounds like Trump-brand White Power
