Greenwood Village police responded around 10:45 a.m. to reports of a robbery at Key Bank, 9250 E. Arapahoe Road, town officials said on Twitter.
Officers then made contact with a suspect, resulting in an exchange of gunfire, officials said. No officer was injured in the exchange. The suspect, who has not been identified, fled to and barricaded themselves in a nearby hotel. Authorities from Greenwood Village and the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office have surrounded the hotel as they attempt to make contact with the suspect, police said.A reverse 911 call was activated.
Update: At approximately 10:45 a.m., GVPD officers responded to the Key Bank, located at 9250 E Arapahoe Road, for a report of a bank robbery. Upon arrival, contact was made with the suspect resulting in an exchange of gunfire.
