Hospital visits in the United States can be expensive, as one local Reddit user recently found out. The Redditor posted to a photo to reddit.com/r/sanantonio/ of a bill that totaled more than $17,000.
The three major credit reporting agencies don't report nonpayment of medical bill information for 180 days. Nearly 80 percent of medical bills contain erroneous charges, according to the Becker Hospital Review, and Townsend said that billing errors are common, so"review your invoice carefully."
