Pro-democracy leader Joshua Wong has encouraged Congress to put pressure on Beijing

WASHINGTON—Two weeks after posting bail in Hong Kong on charges related to this summer’s protests, young pro-democracy leader Joshua Wong told a Congressional hearing that Beijing was eroding the city’s relative autonomy and unable to govern a free society.

Mr. Wong was among several activists speaking on Tuesday at a hearing into the political upheaval in Hong Kong. Lawmakers here are considering a bill that would require greater U.S. government scrutiny of the city’s status as a separate trading partner to China.

Be a Chinese

This is the guy who gets well paid for bringing violence and chaos to Hong Kong, all at the cost of ordinary Hong Kong. Isn’t the Congress going to wait to see who caused the derail of the Hong Kong subway that potential cost lives of innocent people? What a shame!

Trump will always side with authoritarians over pro-democracy movements, at home and abroad.

Make HKer think harder!

How can US as a democratic country can accept this ugly youth whom terrorized Hong Kong public & it's public transport system & challenged the rule of laws of Hong Kong government. If he is an American doing that in US will be crippled by bullets long ago.

Taking side with the black thugs has cost the US all of its hard earned credibility among Chinese! Too stupid!

Wong is a Vietnamese! A violent criminal!

Support Joshua! He let the world know the real situation of HK

How could a Vietnam refugee represent Hong Kong? May be one day, a Mexican will ask China government to publish USA for forbidden him invade into the border illegally.

He doesn't look like Vietnamese,he is like a monkey which is so stupid🤪
