Agree the homeless can be violent and deranged and often carry sharp weapons.
Todd Gloria is an even worse Mayor than Catherine Blakespear, and that's hard to accomplish
Give us a couple more years and we will be as bad as Portland. That place is a war zone.
Hey, hippie; this is your side who lets these people terrorize the neighborhood.
My wife’s boss was hit in the head by a homeless guy a couple days ago right outside the zoo. She was showing up for her regular volunteer work there. The guy came up behind and hit her with a rock. She okay but very shook up.
And Big Bill probably has voted straight Democrat his entire life.
OleTimeHardball If the politicians truly cared about the homeless, there wouldn't be any homeless.
Bill Walton has a net worth of $20 million.
Liar and wimp. I live right there. If 'seeing homeless people' is assault, then he's right. Otherwise just a big baby.
Oh Bill, love ya...we've both ridden bikes together in our hood, never been chased or harassed. See you on the road!
Walton claims he can’t leave his home without being assaulted & he’s under siege. That never happens to me, I’m in the park interacting with unsheltered ppl, live nearby. Bill is lying, exaggerating & no he isn’t assaulted every time he leaves his compound.BillWaltonHatesthePoor
How come Bill Walton, don't put money up with some investors to try solve the homeless problem? Homeless are not willing to be helped until they hit the bottom, that will be when citizens stop give them food and money.
So Bill can't leave his home without being 'chased, threatened, attacked, assaulted...' I work downtown and walk pass homeless every single day with zero issue. What is Bill doing to cause such an aggressive response?
“Questions of safety have arisen.” Yes, folks… that’s passive voice. It’s used when you want to hide the subject and generally discouraged in journalism. In real journalism you would say, “Bill Walton has questioned the safety of the event.” Your welcome.

It’s okay, most hide in the shadows when the “tourists” come. Almost like they have a “deal” with the city. I’ve seen it with my own eyes every Thursday morning in Balboa Park. It’s so sad and disgusting. These people need help.
It’s not humane. That is the bottom line. We need to do right by them and everyone else. The permissiveness is astounding. When children are seeing dead bodies on the streets in P.L., it’s flipping time to get angry and stop talking and DO something! It’s nuts! Im pissed! You!?
I'll be at December Nights tomorrow. I never once thought about this because I'm not a rich a-hole like BillWalton.
Naw- I saw ToddGloria ‘s goons out there pushing the homeless out of the park today so there’s nothing to worry about other than the $45 parking fees👀
I went to Balboa park about a month ago for an event in the evening. Did not see a single homeless person the whole time.
So what are you doing to help?
It’s like Groundhog Day on here with you guys and fucking Bill Walton homeless problem story time
Every city is confronted with increasing numbers of homeless people Urbanists use it as an excuse to strip away zoning laws. Which doesn’t change homelessness Why doe the President and national government refuse to address the issue?
San Diego became Homeless Industrial Complex.
LA sends homeless to San Pedro during events. Not saying we should do the same.
