The 3,630-acre Mt. Solitude Ranch northwest of San Antonio was settled in the 1800s by a family that has now decided to sell the sprawling Hill County property.
“After much discussion, we have made the difficult decision to sell our ranch,” the Thomson family said in a statement. “Our family has blossomed over the generations while growing up and making memories on our incredible property. “Like so many other generational families, ours has multiplied over the decades. Collectively, we all feel it’s time to find the next stewards and that making this decision in this generation is the wise, although difficult, thing to do.”
Located on Bandera Highway in Bexar County, the property has wooded hills, lakes and flowing streams. It’s about a half-hour drive from San Antonio.Dallas’ Icon Global Group is marketing the property for the fifth-generation owners.“The location, privacy, abundant water, wildlife, fishing, and pure history of this ranch make for any number of new owner’s uses and options,” said Bernard Uechtritz of the Icon Global Group.
