The comment struck a number of Democrats as off base, especially considering that the nation has never had a female vice president."Governor," CNN's Dana Bash said at a presidential candidate town hall,"some of your male competitors have vowed to put a woman on the ticket. Yes or no, would you do the same?""Of course," Hickenlooper said, before saying he wanted to ask Bash a question.
— Linda Sarsour March 21, 2019 Notably, Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, another 2020 contender, was asked Sunday if she would pick a man as her running mate."I was wondering, would you consider picking a man for your vice president?" a reporter asked after a town hall in Memphis, Tennessee."I want someone who is going to get out there and fight on behalf of working people. That's what matters most," Warren replied.
If all you see in the sea is water, a wave is to be expected...
Because men have been selected for everything for Millenia.
Is that not a legit question?
Chickenpooper
And the the black candidates should be asked if they would consider putting a hispanic on the ticket and the women candidates should be asked if they would consider putting a gay man on the ticket. And on and on. Spare me the 'outrage' over his answer.
Why is this news? What's wrong with the question? Foolishness! Focus on the serious issues going on in the WH
Smart ass!
Hickenlooper with that question ur out of the race
He made a bad joke because so many women are running.
Dems are so obsesses with identify politics they will prevent themselves from even getting the best ticket to challenge Trump. Unbelievable.
do we?
Should about a person not gender. I could care less about your gender when it comes to the job it’s about qualifications
I’m so tired of the media making this about gender or race. Stick to the issues and the one that can unite us to get things done. Nothing or no one gender or race will succeed if we don’t work together and unite. If we keep dividing status quo will remain
Great question. It’s based on merit, not one of the 2 genders; male or female.
How about focusing on picking the best PERSON , instead of trying to be 'woke'. I just want the best person elected, not someone who is elected because they fit a profile. A female president would be a great thing to see, but a great male or female president would be even better.
This is yet another political bullshitter!
Somehow I don't see him as the 'commanding presence' I remember the president was when I was a younger person. Of course we had Obama, didn't we, who turned-out to be more CURIOSITY than STATESMAN! 'Anything is 'possible' in America' and a lot of it has been to our detriment.
I am aware of his death penalty views. However. That does not give him the right to go against 12 jurors and a judge who spent months convicting Nathan Dunlap and sentenced him to death. He abused his power as the Gov. of Colorado. He will not have my vote.
Won’t it be great when we get to a time when the question will be what other qualified candidates would you consider as a running mate. Where that’s all that matters
Toxic masculinity dammit!
Wait for your turn, Hicky. Buh-bye.
The Howard Dean Death Gaffe to the candidate no one’s heard of.
I’m sure the female Democratic candidates will select men as well as woman as running mates, J Hick just wants to stir the pot I think
Note to Hickenlooper: This is NOT how you get the Democratic party's nomination.
hell
'Why aren't we saying All Lives Matter?'
Who is this?
Buttigieg/Omar 2020.
