Here Robin Wright in a close up looking wistfully into the distance

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The official trailer has been released for Here. Here is an upcoming drama film starring Forrest Gump legends Tom Hanks and Robin Wright, alongside a supporting cast of Kelly Reilly, Michelle Dockery, Paul Bettany, Ophelia Lovibond, Dexter Sol Ansell, Ben Wiggins, and Beau Gadsdon. Its plot centers around the story of multiple generations of families who are living in the same place.

Will Here Get Zemeckis Out of a Slump? Seeing Wright and Hanks back in their younger state is sure to pull on heart strings, as it is reminiscent of their Forrest Gump era. Playing Jenny and Forrest in the film, Wright and Hanks are no strangers to playing lovers, something that they will do again in Here. Zemeckis has a long-standing audience, many of whom will be familiar with works like Forrest Gump, or other Hanks collaborations like Cast-Away, so Here could draw in some of those audiences.

Related Every Robert Zemeckis Movie Ranked From Worst To Best From less-than-magical remakes to time-travel adventures in a tricked-out DeLorean, here are all of Robert Zemeckis's movies ranked worst to best. Here will need to draw audiences and fall in the favor of critics in order to revive Zemeckis' career slump in the 21st century. Most egregiously, the director put out an uncanny and unsatisfying live-action and CGI hybrid adaptation of Pinocchio in 2022. This version of Pinocchio was widely-hated, earning a 28% Tomatometer and a 27% approval rating amount audiences on Rotten Tomatoes.

In terms of reception, Here is a much bigger gamble than the other films. Bolder in concept, it is less likely to fall into the over-CGI, sellout critique that Zemeckis has faced in the past. On the other hand, however, Here might risk being called derivative of similar work, such as Terrence Malick's wide-reaching Tree of Life, or even Zemeckis' other broader scale work such as Forrest Gump.
