the actor said, “I don’t know what it is. I guess I have a lot of saliva in my mouth. I actually don’t think about it too much, unless I’m in a good scene with someone and I can see it hitting their face.”, saying it became a bit of a challenge while doing an off-Broadway production of “Little Shop of Horrors.” He was so close to the audience that they were in the “splash zone,” as Variety put it.
“I spit a lot on stage. I’ve always been a spitter. I get wet when I act. It’s just what happens. I start sweating,” he said, explaining his co-star even thought he was taking saliva pills. He was not. “It felt like a problem at first,” he said of spitting on audience members, “and now I don’t care anymore.”
