Here's how bad 2022 was for Jacksonville-based public companies

Investing in Jacksonville-based stocks over 2022 wouldn't have been good for your portfolio – but buying all of the local public companies would have had you beating the S&P 500 … barely.

That's if you bought one share each of Jacksonville's local companies, from behemoth CSX Corp. — with a market cap of $65.1 billion — down to tiny Webstar Technology Group, an over-the-counter stock with a $9.7 million market cap. The Fortune 500 fintech company saw its stock price drop more than 26% in early November, leading incoming CEO Stephanie Ferris to say she would lead the implementation of a “transformation” plan aimed at cutting $500 million or more in expenses. While FIS's drop from $109.35 to $67.90 was the largest in dollar terms, Redwire Corp. saw its stock price suffer the largest percentage drop, cratering 73.02% as shares slid from $6.82 to $1.84.

Other big declines were experienced by Dream Finder Homes , which fell 55.33% from $19.59 to $8.75, and Duos Technologies Group , which slid from $51.2 to $1.85, a 63.7% drop.

7 Biggest Biden Family Business Revelations of 2022Seven key developments in the Biden family business scandal have come to light in 2022. The scandal, suppressed by the intelligence agencies and establishment media dating back to 2020, became one of the major storylines of the year. If any of us had committed the crimes of these two, we’d be in the basement of a federal penitentiary. BS charges. Followed by a BS trial. Followed by conviction and a pardon from his daddy.
