Sears was the original Amazon and had a tremendous mail-order business. You could even buy house kits from them, for heaven's sake. If anyone should have stayed afloat in the internet age, it should have been them. It's a shame to see them go.
Who cares? Close them all. Kmart has not been relevant since the 80s and Sears not since their catalogue in the 70s. What is point in keeping them open? Both get their asses kicked by WalMart and Target. No one cares about their history.

I remember going to these stores as a kid and its sad to see them go on the other hand, online shopping has so much more benefits- and discounts. it's a conflicting time
