Here's a look at autonomous vehicles being showcased at mobility summit in San Ramon

Gloria RodríguezA Beep vehicle and freight truck were just some of the autonomous vehicles showcased at the Redefining Mobility Summit in San Ramon Tuesday.

"We have a number of autonomous vehicle and emerging mobility partners here to really demonstrate the great work and the great technology that's the future of transportation," said Tim Haile, Executive Director of the Contra Costa Transportation Authority.The Contra Costa Transportation Authority, GoMentum Station and Bay Area LEEDS organized the 9th annual summit at Roundhouse at Bishop Ranch.

"Instead of driving your car to the city and spending hours, we can take you easily to the BART station," said Gokul Hemmady, Glydways CEO. "That's the vision that we have for the future of public transportation and that's what this event is about."Waymo is on track to expand its driverless ride services throughout San Mateo County and Los Angeles.
