Chicken owners are ruffling the feathers of their neighbors as their livestock invade area yards. Russell Township officers took reports and met with owners on different streets to dispense advice May 8 and May 10.

A man visited the police station 7:48 p.m. May 8 seeking advice on his neighbor’s roosters that come on to his property. An officer gave him advice and contacted the chicken owner. The owner agreed to work on keeping his roosters on their property.Police were dispatched 10:29 a.m. May 10 for a complaint of Guinea hens running loose in the complainant’s yard. The complainant gave officers an address where the hens reside. The chicken owner was informed about the issues and was given advice.
