Heavy rain moved through the Susquehanna Valley overnight, and you may have heard thunder, especially in York and Lancaster Counties. Over the past 48 hours, most areas have picked up 2 to 3 inches of rain. An additional 1 to 2 inches is possible through tonight. A Flood Watch is in effect for the entire Susquehanna Valley until 8 a.m. Thursday. Watch for ponding on the roads, flooding of low-lying areas, and fast rises on small streams and creeks.
Temperatures will hold steady in the upper 40s. Rain will be heavy at times through the afternoon, then rain will taper by evening, as low pressure passes to our south.Mostly cloudy skies are in store tonight, with lows near 40. Patchy fog is possible. Thursday will feature dry conditions to start, then scattered showers in the afternoon and evening. A few wet snowflakes may mix in at elevation. Highs will reach the low 50s. Winds increase Friday, as an upper level low moves east.
