‘s season 2 trailer arrives this week with news that the premiere episode will drop on the home box office network this March 16. The first season, directed by Saverio Costanzo, adapted author ‘s acclaimed first novel in her four-part series, which spans the years-long friendship of Elena and Lila. Season 2 adapts the second book,The story began with a 60-year-old Elena reflecting on her friendship with Lila, starting in 1950s Naples, in light of her mysterious disappearance. The reflection continues through their adulthood in season 2, when Lila remains defiant in her marriage to Stefano Carracci , believing she lost her identity when she took her husband’s name.
