A Hays County man has been sentenced to life in prison in a child sex abuse case. Andrew Brown , 38, of Dripping Springs was convicted in January on a charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child younger than 14 years of age, according to the Hays County District Attorney’s Office.
Man gets 32-year sentence in Hays County child indecency case State district Judge Tracie Wright-Reneau handed down Brown’s life sentence, the district attorney’s office said. Evidence presented at trial showed Brown sexually abused an eight-year-old child for more than a year, the district attorney’s office said. The victim was the child of a family friend, and Brown abused the child while babysitting, according to the district attorney’s office.
