Hasbro, which holds the master toy license for Star Wars-branded toys, has finally revealed its first collection of figures based on Baby Yoda.
Starting Thursday, fans will be able to preorder four new Baby Yoda toys, which are expected to arrive in spring 2020. While the cute creature has been dubbed Baby Yoda, because of his resemblance to the iconic "Star Wars" character,
It’s not a loss, they just didn’t have a profit.
No worries, we made up the difference during our 3 day stay at Disney this Christmas 👌
$2.7 mil is nothing. And the timing of Mandalorian release and Christmas was too tight.
And the Earth is winning; those toys won’t end up in the oceans.
sock change to $DIS and the shortage is nothing compared to how many people will want one that normally wouldn't just because it's so hard to get.
Per day? $2.7 million in total is nothing to Disney.
How can you lose something you never had? That means are losing the majority of viewership daily!
IT'S NOT YODA!
More than that
Why does cnbc post this same exact Tweet everyday?
Disney laughs at your 2.7.
I couldn’t be imagine Baby Yoda toys so important for Disney... Nicetoknow
Can’t lose something they never had, did they have a product out and pull it? They never gained or earned anything to lose.. Corporation propaganda, feel bad about us and buy buy buy
Spent a couple mins on this when it's ~0.003% of 2019 revenue... you can do better CNBC!
They’ll get over it. And they’re not stupid. They’re dragging it out until the desire for baby yoda reaches a fever pitch (which was about a week ago). Parents will take time off work to fight over the toys no matter when they come out. And, really, $2.7 million? Hilarious.
By prolonging scarcity, driving up demand. Disney will pocket a lot more dosh.
I wonder why they didn’t sell them? Is it because it might spoile rise of sky walker?
They've lost nothing. This isn't news. They'll make the toy and it will sell. Probably more now than otherwise. Who the hell cares?
Pocket change
Sad.
Beck nailed it. Whoever came up with $2.7 mill is a horrible estimator.
Baby Yoda have a different birth place and different holidays within private institutions. Everything can't be in one public holiday there's Santa in this one.

Does this drive the stock down?
IT'S NOT YODA!
😆😆😆
People that are worried about this have Mickey Mouse life.
2.7 million wouldn’t even register on Disney’s radar.
KOS_Pod How much did they lose by not having MAGA Baby Yoda toys?
Tuff
You know stores are going to sell out.
“M” million or “B” billion? They already have 10 “M” million subscribers. Is your assumption only 108,000 (1%) of the subscribers will shell out $25 for a Yoda? Fix your math.
Ok so they just need to add an extra screening of just about anything to make 3 million.
RIP this poor animal
How are they losing money they never made
Thank GOD i hate baby Yoda! I hope Disney will lose the rights of Star Wars....
They dont bat an eye at 2 mill. That's probably what 1 chandelier costs on their new cruise ship
A alguien no le tocará bono de navidad ....
Correction... it's probably closer to $2.7 billion 😇 What were those MF's thinking!!!
Fuck consumerism and
I’m sure they’ll be fine.
They will make it up 10 fold when they start releasing toys.
Sell. Sell. Sell. CNBC is so fucked up they thinks it’s a loss
This is an opportunity lost. Nobody can 100% affirm it. So don’t made it like a big issue
Who cares
That’s lunch money to the Disney Corp.
So what? You can’t find anything more substantive to report on? Sheesh...
Disney losing $2.7 million? How did this make the teleprompter?
2.7 million! Yikes! Disney will never recover. It’s the end of a great American company. 🙄🤷♂️
So an accounting error. Okay.
justkarl Less than $3 million? You sure?
where is American toys manufactured?
Rounding error.
$2.7 million? They sell that much in ice cream each day in their parks.
But on the other side of this equation, has anyone quantified how much VALUE Disney is getting from the constant media attention, social media mentions, memes and the pent up demand... ? Guessing that far surpasses $2.7M.
They're using baby Yoda to acquire subscribers, because why let kids have what they want unless you can hook them for that monthly fee, right?
Are you sure it is “million” and not “billion”? This does not make sense as newsworthy for a behemoth of Disney size SquawkCNBC now i
Just a reminder that Kenner in 1977 didn't have Star Wars toys ready when that movie took off. They sold an empty box instead with a mail-in certificate. Disney would have been wise to do something along the lines of that for Baby Yoda.
Pocket change for Disney
Would have guessed a lot more than $2.7 million
2.7 mil to Disney is chump change
That's in the Cochins of Igor's couch
thanks darrenrovell
Becky is like '2.7m? that's less than my salary'
They are available on Alibaba's site: Starwars Baby Yoda Darth Vader Plastic Star Mini figure Wars Compatible Blocks toys for kids
Seriously? There’s probably $2.7M under Bob Iger’s couch cushions. 😄
That’s an extremely irrelevant amount of cash for Disney
Would really love to know the statistical inference of such statement. fooled randomness
2.7M That seems low. ReformedBroker would spend that amount himself.
Is that million with an M Seriously?
Good, Americans cant afford to have more garbage laying around.
greatweet Disney is losing an estimated.... lose/lost/lost😀😀😀 Check it out! kindle KindleUnlimited ingles english
pretty sure they’ll survive
First world problems
Drop in the well.
CNBC So much better than Mattel's
CNBC Baby Yoda was specifically designed to sell plastic bullshit to consumers over the holidays.
