By ‘imperfect,’ I mean that SFFA did have a fair point, that Asian-American students were getting lower ‘personal ratings’ compared to white students with high ‘academic’ and ‘extracurricular’ ratings. You can’t admit the best student from each high school across the country because, again, it wouldn’t paint the whole picture, but also because there are about 37,000 high schools in the country and Harvard only admits about 2,000 students per year.
