Christian and Ryan Harrison fist bump after scoring a point against Ariel Behar of Uruguay and Gonzalo Escobar of Ecuador during the Doubles Finals of the Delray Beach Open by Vitacost.com at Delray Beach Tennis Center on January 13, 2021 in Delray Beach, Florida. Fourteen years after he won his first ATP World Tour match as a 15-year-old at River Oaks Country Club, Ryan Harrison is one victory from claiming a spot in the main draw of the U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship, which starts Monday.
Ryan, who’s now 29, defeated Bjorn Fratangelo 6-4, 6-3 to earn the right to face Christian, 27, as he tries once again to get his injury-plagued career back on track. The Harrisons square off at 11 a.m. Sunday in one of four matches that will complete the field. Two other Americans, Mitchell Krueger and Michael Mmoh, meet on Court 3 after the Harrisons finish. Admission is free and open to the public.
