Wtf... it's called voice acting on a satire cartoon show!

After 30 years!?!!

Then stop voicing Moe, Cletus, Bumblebee Man and the comic book guy and every other stereotype or else I call hypocrisy. Voice actors should only do the voice of characters that look like them and share country and religion. Btw, how's the kid voicing Bart these days?

HankAzaria So, for 30 years it was ok and he collected a paycheck for it. But NOW he doesn't 'feel right' Typical Hollywood hypocrite.

Apu is an immigrant who loves the US, is hard working, has a family and good values. Some people got called Apu in school and somehow that's on the character? I got called Steve Urkel every day at school cause I was skinny and with glasses, but I don't blame the character.

Maybe now I’ll get less spam phone calls.

This PC pandering is ridiculous.

What “uproar?”

😂😂😂😂😂 Oh how will the people of India ever recover from this horrible damage that TheSimpsons have inflicted on them.

Lighten up, Hank. It’s a cartoon.

At least someone from the Simpsons got it

He quit because of the PC mob who can no longer put up with humour.

Can't believe it's been almost two years since I wrote this:

*after 30 years..... they really are the heroes

After twenty-odd years of taking the money...

Mad respect for including Apu’s last name

🙏

Hank Azaria Will Officially No Longer Voice Apu on The SimpsonsIn a new interview, Hank Azaria said voicing the controversial Simpsons character “just didn’t feel right” anymore Thank you come again Understandable as an actor wants so much more. Could HankAzaria maybe just continue to voice the character but not do that accent, perhaps giving Abu a standard american accent? It wouldn't result in a continuity error either because people often end up adopting a local dialect after years of living in a region. Thoughts?
