Today will be mostly sunny in the afternoon expect for the coastal areas where partly cloudy skies will linger all day. The high heat will concentrate mainly in the valleys and inland areas — expect valley highs to be in the upper 80s, low 90s. There's a heat advisory out for the Inland Empire from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday — temperatures will soar for the Riverside and San Bernardino county valleys from 97 to 100 degrees.
For that wind advisory — forecasters say strong northwest winds up to 35 mph expected, gusts up to 50 mph for the Antelope Valley and the I-5 corridor starting at 3 p.m. through 6 p.m. Saturday. Then on Saturday evening, there's a high wind warning as wind gusts are expected to increase up to 60 mph through 11 a.m. Sunday
