HOUSTON, Texas -- State Rep. Jarvis Johnson is requesting Gov. Greg Abbott to call for a special session on gun reform, including raising the age limit for purchasing long guns to 21.
The person must be at least 21 years old to buy a handgun, but Texans aged 18 and over can buy a handgun from another Texas resident in a private sale. There are also other exceptions to allow an 18-year-old to purchase a gun if they meet certain requirements and have parental consent.

I had to pass multiple background checks when I bought mine. Plus waited 60 days for my license and was fingerprinted. And they increased penalties for unlawful carry. But go off I guess… “expert”. Ok.. say it with me. “I will do research before I open my mouth”.

What a hit piece. Sane gun owners are not going to walk around brandishing a pistol and no you cannot walk around with an AR-15 without special reason. You have to a specific threat to your life from another individual that is clearly targeting you.

Tell me you've never purchased a firearm without telling me you've never purchased a firearm. I've bought multiple and I have my license to carry. Every time I had to fill out paperwork and wait for background checks to be completed before purchasing. Stop lying.
