Gulf Arab states expanded measures to contain the spread of coronavirus on Sunda...

DUBAI - Gulf Arab states expanded measures to contain the spread of coronavirus on Sunday with Oman banning open ship-to-ship transfers with Iranian vessels, Abu Dhabi’s bourse closing trading halls and Dubai shuttering cinemas, gyms and arcades.

Kuwait and Saudi Arabia have taken the most drastic steps among the six Gulf Arab states, which have recorded a total of 870 cases but no deaths, by halting international passenger flights. The United Arab Emirates has suspended new entry visas from March 17 while Qatar has restricted visa issuance. “I’m glad that they’re off even though it means 24 hours in the airport hotel in Dubai. Given their age and medical issues it’s definitely better than stuck here for weeks,” he told Reuters.

The Saudi health ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment and it was not clear if the two cases were already included in the kingdom’s total count. Oman, across the Gulf from Iran, asked open-deck boats to immediately halt ship-to-ship trade with Iranian boats, state news agency ONA said on Sunday.

Trump can't resist handshakes as he declares a coronavirus national emergency“I want to encourage everyone to follow the guidelines we have issued by CDC and these common sense measures,” Trump told Americans today while breaking those very same rules himself coronavirus The CDC’s website says “avoid touching high-touch surfaces in public places — elevator buttons, door handles, handrails, handshaking with people.” But as Trump introduced CEOs and members of his coronavirus taskforce, he couldn’t resist extending a hand This is pure speculation. In not one of those shots do you see hands touch. The POTUS knows better, and faked handshakes, and as he said, he is in no way concerned about his exposures. Trump is such a psychotic narcissist that I'm certain he believes he's immune from catching it.

Coronavirus Precautions For Foster YouthNPR's Michel Martin speaks with Congresswoman Karen Bass, co-chair of the Congressional Caucus on Foster Youth, about how universities are considering foster youth in their coronavirus precautions. 💔 Wow. Universities are asking former foster youth (& foreign exchange students) to leave campus to prevent spread of coronovirus. However, foster youth have no homes or families to go back to & many have already paid room or board upfront. Hoping this can be resolved ASAP.
