Do you have a green thumb? Or want to spruce up your yard? If so, you’re in luck, as several organizations are coming together tomorrow in honor of Earth Day and Arbor Day for Free Tree Friday .
The Jonesboro Urban Forestry Commission and the Arkansas Department of Agriculture's Forestry Division are joining forces by giving back to the community and Mother Nature.The public can choose from six native Arkansas Hardwood species -- bald cypress, cherry bark oak, Shumard oak, river birch, red mulberry, and sycamore -- to take home and plant.
Free Tree Friday will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Earl Bell Community Center, located at 1212 South Church Street in Jonesboro.
