Published 3 hours agoA ground worker at New Orleans’ airport died in an accident Tuesday when her hair became entangled in machinery while she was offloading an aircraft, officials said.
Jermani Thompson was servicing a Frontier Airlines flight around 10 p.m. when the accident happened, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport said. Thompson, 26, an employee of GAT Airline Ground Support, was rushed to a hospital, where she died, the airport said.

That's an beginner's mistake. Why wasn’t she told that her hair had to be put up, tied up or whatever was needed for her to work safely? There should be no excuse for something like this to happen . That is why you set grooming standards that promote safety, no matter much employees complain about it. Long hair should be pinned-up, and never hanging down around a belt loader.
