. Greg Nicotero, the showrunner and executive producer of the horror anthology, told reporters at the Television Critics Association's 2021 winter press tour Thursday that it wasn't a difficult decision.
"I found out about it at the same time everybody else did," Nicotero shared of how he heard about actress Evan Rachelas her abuser in early February."I don't think there was a moment where we didn't want to do the right thing and pull the episode. I don't think we thought about it more than four seconds. There were some great actors in that episode as well. We stand by the decision; we stand by the support that that shows.
The show boss also revealed that the decision did have a bit of an impact on season two."We did a little bit of restructuring and we pulled an episode up starring Molly Ringwald called 'Sibling Rivalry,'" he shared."It's really fun and really good. We just had to keep going."On Feb. 1, Wood wrote in a statement posted to her Instagram account that she was"done living in fear of retaliation, slander or blackmail," and accused her ex-fiance of abuse.
